Applications are open for “Jungle Biomechanics Lab,” a fully funded two-week program, from August 3-17 at Finca Las Piedras in the Peruvian Amazon Rainforest.
This program, run annually, is a 2-week field research experience for early career scientists (from undergraduates to postdocs) funded by an NSF IRES grant. Participants will learn to collect data, run experiments in the field and complete their own project while living in the jungle. Travel with a team of researchers and do field biomechanics research, collaborate with a diverse cohort of U.S. and Peruvian scientists and students, and participate in science outreach events with local schools!
This is a fully funded program, we will cover your flights, housing, and food for the full trip!
To apply, you will need a one-page statement of interest, a CV, and a letter of reference. Applications are open now and will close on March 15th. Learn more on the Bhamla Lab website and apply here.
