Lunch & Learn
Lunch & Learn is the weekly seminar hosted by GT PoLS. Each Thursday during the regular semester, volunteer speakers from the Georgia Tech PoLS node give talks explaining their research to the rest of the PoLS community. The talks are scheduled to demonstrate the diversity of science represented at PoLS, with all participating groups regularly providing speakers. A free catered lunch is provided for all attendees who come to hear the talk.
Speaking slots are provided to graduate students, undergraduates, and postdocs. The research presented at Lunch & Learn does not need to be complete, and “works in progress” are encouraged. Lunch & Learn is an opportunity for speakers to present their developing stories to the community, where students may practice explaining their work to a crowd with diverse scientific backgrounds. Lunch & Learn is a lively and collaborative seminar, and constructive questions from the audience are common and encouraged.
Please find the schedule of upcoming talks in the table below. Unless otherwise noted, talks take place on the second floor of the Howey Physics Building, in the combined conference room N201/N202. Lunch is served at 12:00, followed by an hour-long talk beginning at 12:30.
